EUROPEAN DIVIDE
TRAIL 7600 KMS.

From Grense Jakobselv in Norway to Cape St Vincent in Portugal, this is the world's longest predominantly off-road cycle route, put together by Andy Cox, aka Doubletrackfanatic.

The inspiration for this route arose from the need to explore the other side of Europe, far from popular tourist destinations. Although the most demanding routes for bikepackers can be a lot of fun, following them for several months is not easy.

The route passes through the seemingly endless forests, along the lakes, rivers and dirt roads of Scandinavia, through mosaics of farmland, forests, heaths and meadows of Central Europe, then south and finally into the Iberian Peninsula, where the diversity of landscapes surprises, and the trails are usually loose and rocky.
